I do recommend that you treat your willow sculpture at least once a year with a clear wood preservative to make it last even longer. Alternatively you can use a 50/50 mix of linseed oil (available on amazon) & turps. This makes it thinner so it can be sprayed on making it easier to apply & has better coverage.
